BRAVIA models we repair
BRAVIA is the name Sony uses for all its TVs, but the hardware inside varies a lot between series. Knowing the series helps us carry the right parts on the first visit, so tell us your model number when you book (it is on the sticker at the back of the TV, e.g. KD-55X80K or K-65XR70).
- BRAVIA 9, 7 (Mini LED) — local-dimming backlight, XR processor
- BRAVIA 8, A80 / A90 / A95 (OLED) — self-lit OLED and QD-OLED panels
- BRAVIA XR X90 / X95 — full-array LED with local dimming
- X75 / X80 / X85, BRAVIA 3 / 5 — 4K LED, Google TV / Android TV
- W / R / KDL series — Full HD and HD LED, smart and non-smart
- Older BRAVIA LCD / LED — including CCFL-backlit models
Common BRAVIA faults we fix
- Sound but no picture — usually a failed LED backlight on LED models (often with the red light blinking 6 times), or a T-con / panel fault.
- Red standby light blinking — BRAVIA self-diagnosis. Count the blinks: 2–3 point to power or main board, 5 to the panel side, 6 to the backlight.
- Stuck on the SONY / BRAVIA logo or restarting — corrupted firmware or a failing main board / eMMC memory.
- Lines, patches or half screen — panel driver, T-con or flex-cable faults.
- No power at all — power board (PSU) failure, often after a voltage spike.
- Wi-Fi, apps or Google TV problems — software, network module or storage issues.
Independent BRAVIA service centre — what that means for you
We are an independent repair service, not a Sony authorised service centre. If your BRAVIA is still under Sony's warranty, Sony will repair it free — check at sony.co.in/support. Once the warranty has ended, an independent technician is often the faster and more affordable option: we come to your home, repair at board or component level where possible instead of replacing whole assemblies, and only start work after you approve the quote.
Visit and diagnosis charges are told to you on the phone before the visit. Repair work starts only after you approve the quote.
