Smart TV problems we fix
- Stuck on the SONY logo or restarting in a loop (boot loop)
- Very slow menus, apps freezing or crashing, "storage full" messages
- Wi-Fi not connecting or keeps dropping; Bluetooth not working
- YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video or other apps not opening
- Voice remote / Google Assistant not working
- Chromecast / screen mirroring problems
- Software update failed or stuck
Try these first (free)
- Unplug the TV from the wall for 2–3 minutes, then turn it on again.
- Settings → Apps → clear cache of the misbehaving app; uninstall apps you don't use to free storage.
- Settings → System → About → System software update.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router and re-enter the Wi-Fi password on the TV.
Still not working, or the TV won't get past the logo? Don't keep forcing factory resets on a TV that is boot-looping — it can make a failing storage chip worse. Book a technician instead.
Software fix or hardware repair?
If the TV boots but misbehaves, it is usually software — we clean up storage, reinstall or update the firmware and set the TV up again. If it boot-loops, freezes even after a reset, or loses Wi-Fi constantly, the cause is often the main board's eMMC storage or the Wi-Fi module, which we repair or replace. See motherboard repair.
